Financial & Office Manager

About the role

The Financial & Office Manager will oversee the complete financial lifecycle of the group and its entities while ensuring smooth office operations. Reporting to senior directors, you will combine finance leadership with administrative, HR, IT and property management responsibilities to drive efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a finance team and manage month‑end processing, accounts payable/receivable, banking, asset management and journal entries for all entities.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, annual financial statements and support year‑end audit requirements.
• Administer full payroll cycle, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, leave, employee loans and related reconciliations.
• Ensure timely statutory submissions such as VAT, PAYE, COID, CIPC returns and coordinate audits.
• Compile board packs, financial reports and provide operational support to directors on ad‑hoc projects.
• Oversee outsourced IT providers, manage Microsoft 365 administration and assist with technology implementations.
• Coordinate property maintenance, liaise with landlords/contractors and manage insurance and banking queries.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing finance functions for multiple entities, preferably in a senior or managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of South African tax, statutory compliance and payroll regulations.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead a team and handle diverse administrative duties.
• Effective communication skills to interact with directors, auditors and external service providers.
