Financial Adviser – Rustenburg/Mahikeng (North West)

About the role

The purpose of the role is to provide new and existing clients with professional and relevant financial advice, planning and products that suit their needs. You will build sustainable, high‑quality business in line with targets, maintain long‑term client relationships and act in a compliant, ethical manner to strengthen the Sanlam brand.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in growing the Sanlam adviser business by meeting revenue and activity targets, promoting the brand and ensuring fair treatment of customers.
• Network, prospect and generate leads through face‑to‑face interactions, social media, business networks and referrals, targeting middle‑high and affluent markets.
• Conduct client consultations, perform fact‑finding and financial needs analysis, provide compliant financial planning advice and present suitable solutions.
• Deliver high‑quality client service, maintain ethical standards, resolve queries promptly and nurture long‑term relationships.
• Monitor and report on contacts, appointments, issued business, revenue against targets and update client records regularly.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification and successful completion of the FAIS “Fit and Proper” regulatory examination (registered with FSCA for >24 months).
• Knowledge of financial advice, production target achievement, compliance and risk management, client relationship management and financial planning.
• Personal attributes such as effective communication, tech‑savvy, action‑oriented, interpersonal skills and persuasive ability.
