Financial Adviser – Client Advisory & Sales

About the role

Sanlam is seeking a Financial Adviser to provide professional financial advice, planning and product solutions to new and existing clients. The role focuses on building long‑term relationships, generating sustainable business and ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive financial needs analysis and present tailored financial solutions to clients.
• Prospect and generate new business through networking, social media and referrals.
• Maintain and grow existing client relationships, providing ongoing service and advice.
• Achieve revenue targets, activity quotas and promote the Sanlam brand.
• Document client interactions, update records and report weekly/monthly on contacts, appointments and business generated.
• Ensure all client interactions are ethical, courteous and professional.
• Review client portfolios annually and provide ongoing recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• Successful completion of the FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements and regulatory examination.
• At least 24 months registration with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
• Knowledge of financial advice, production target achievement, compliance and risk management, and client relationship management.
• Ability to communicate effectively and act independently.
• Tech‑savvy with ability to use financial planning tools.
