Cyber Security Specialist – IT & OT (12‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to own end‑to‑end security operations across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments in a large‑scale, multi‑site industrial organisation. The role bridges corporate IT, operational sites and managed service providers to ensure business continuity and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cyber security operations for enterprise IT and OT networks, coordinating internal teams, site personnel and external MSSPs.
• Act as primary interface with MSSPs (SOC, email security, firewall, awareness platforms), monitor SLA/KPI performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead incident response from detection through containment, eradication and recovery, and conduct post‑incident reviews.
• Oversee continuous threat detection via SIEM and SOC platforms, optimise detection rules and integrate threat intelligence.
• Maintain network and perimeter security, including firewall policies, VPN configurations and Zero‑Trust controls.
• Manage endpoint protection (EDR/XDR), email security, IAM and privileged access management.
• Drive security awareness programmes and manage related platforms.
• Secure Microsoft Azure and M365 environments, governing Defender for Cloud, Sentinel and Entra ID.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security operations, SOC, incident response or security engineering.
• Proven ability to work in complex industrial or multi‑site environments.
