Senior Linux Systems Engineer

About the role

2Cana Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with a strong Linux focus to join its Infrastructure Team. You will be responsible for supporting and optimizing mission‑critical systems across both on‑premise and cloud environments while mentoring junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, secure, and optimise Linux infrastructure (Oracle Linux, Red Hat, CentOS, Debian).
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement automation, patching and security best practices.
• Support virtualization, cloud platforms, backup, disaster‑recovery and monitoring solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, clients and internal teams to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours support.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Linux administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong networking fundamentals and ability to work in mission‑critical settings.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience with virtualization and cloud infrastructure is a plus.
• Relevant Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, LPIC) are advantageous.
