Conservation Consultant – Call Center (Sandton)

About the role

The Conservation Consultant will handle inbound and outbound telephone contacts with Discovery clients who have requested policy cancellations. The primary goal is to retain these clients by addressing their concerns, meeting regulatory requirements, and offering suitable product solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outbound and inbound calls to clients requesting cancellation, aiming to retain their policies.
• Complete all FAIS requirements (FNA, ROA, statutory notices) during each call.
• Achieve monthly conservation targets and report call statistics to management.
• Identify client needs and proactively upsell or resell relevant Discovery products.
• Provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Escalate and resolve customer concerns through appropriate channels.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, contacts, and administrative changes.

Required profile

• Strong sales and persuasion abilities.
• Friendly, confident, courteous, and positive attitude.
• Self‑managed with excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to adapt to change while maintaining confidentiality.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal/written communication.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
• Team player, resilient, customer‑focused and results‑driven.

Required skills

• FAIS accreditation – NQF 4 or 5 FAIS credits.
• Successful completion of required regulatory exams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Fluent English; Afrikaans beneficial.
