Clinical Psychologist

About the role

The Clinical Psychologist will provide expert psychological assessments, deliver evidence‑based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions, and prepare expert witness reports for legal proceedings. The role supports a UK‑based provider of medical reporting, rehabilitation and insurance claim services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for a variety of case types, including clinical negligence, serious injury, disability, criminal matters and mental capacity issues.
• Deliver CBT interventions to diverse client groups, ensuring therapeutic relationships built on trust and respect.
• Prepare impartial, compliant and well‑structured expert witness reports for use in legal and insurance contexts.
• Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent recognised by the HPCSA) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
• Minimum three years post‑qualification experience.
• Formal training and proven experience in delivering CBT.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present evidence clearly.
• Analytical mindset, open‑mindedness and confidence in independent thought.
