About the role

We are seeking reliable and hardworking cleaners to join our team in Pretoria. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within a canteen, kitchen and food‑service environment, following established schedules and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise kitchen, dining, serving areas and workstations.
• Sweep, mop and maintain floors according to the cleaning schedule.
• Wipe tables, counters, chairs, appliances and other surfaces.
• Wash dishes, utensils, trays and kitchen equipment as required.
• Empty bins, dispose of waste and refill cleaning supplies, reporting shortages.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
• Report any damages, hazards or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with ad‑hoc cleaning and support duties when needed.

Required profile

• Matriculation is advantageous.
• Previous cleaning experience in a canteen, kitchen, corporate or food‑service setting is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, hygiene procedures and safe equipment handling.
• Awareness of food safety standards.
• First Aid, Fire Fighting or OHS qualifications are an added advantage.
