About the role
As a Business Development Manager at Xero, you will generate demand for our platform within the South African market. You will qualify leads, create prospect pipelines and act as a key link to the Account Executive team, helping to turn opportunities into revenue.
Key responsibilities
- Execute outbound campaigns using phone, email and social media to reach accountants and bookkeepers.
- Host and arrange Xero events across South Africa to build brand presence and attract high‑value partners.
- Research potential partners, identify decision‑makers and build a high‑quality pipeline.
- Maintain accurate records and track prospecting activities in Salesforce.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to refine lead‑generation strategies and ensure smooth handover to Account Managers.
Required profile
- Proven experience in outbound sales and lead generation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on performance optimisation.
- Detail‑oriented, organised and comfortable managing a territory.
- Team player who enjoys creative problem‑solving.
Required skills
- Salesforce (CRM) proficiency.
