Chief Commercial Officer – Renewable Energy

About the role

The company, a leading renewable energy and infrastructure development group in Cape Town, is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer to shape its commercial strategy, drive business development and forge high‑impact partnerships across energy, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organisation’s commercial strategy.
• Secure long‑term agreements for electricity, hydrogen and related products.
• Build strategic partnerships with industrial customers, investors and key stakeholders.
• Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements and joint ventures.
• Identify new market opportunities and lead business development initiatives.
• Engage with local and international partners to support project growth and investment.
• Provide commercial leadership across major development and expansion projects.

Required profile

• Significant commercial leadership experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, industrial development or energy trading.
• Proven track record of originating, negotiating and executing complex commercial agreements and strategic partnerships.
• Strong network across industrial, energy, infrastructure or investment markets.
• Experience developing new markets, business opportunities and revenue streams.
• Excellent commercial acumen, strategic thinking and stakeholder management.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a high‑growth environment.
