Yacht Assistant Hauler Driver (2 Positions)

About the role

We are seeking reliable, safety‑conscious Yacht Assistant Hauler Drivers to support the loading, launching, and transportation of yachts and boats. You will work closely with the Yacht Coordinator and Yacht Driver to ensure all rigging, slinging and movement operations are performed efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

• Load boats onto appropriate trailers securely and safely.
• Assist with boat launching, retrieval and positioning of trucks, trailers and vessels.
• Perform rigging and slinging activities during launch operations.
• Conduct pre‑use checks on boats, trailers and equipment, reporting any defects.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Support general marine and yard operations as required.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 2 (Grade 10) education.
• 2‑3 years of driving experience with a valid Code 14 driver’s licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Experience in boat handling, launching, rigging and slinging.
• Knowledge of different trailer types and suitability for various boats.
• Physically fit, able to work outdoors and outside normal hours.
• Willingness to work overtime and cross‑cultural teams.
