Workshop Assistant – Golf Course Maintenance

About the role

Fancourt, South Africa’s premier golfing, leisure and lifestyle destination, is seeking a motivated Workshop Assistant to support the Golf Course Maintenance team. You will help keep all machinery and equipment in top condition, ensuring the course runs smoothly for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all workshop machinery and equipment, keeping them clean, operational, and serviced regularly.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and schedule servicing as required.
• Assist the Workshop Supervisor and Mechanic with daily tasks and repairs.
• Transport maintenance equipment onto the course in any weather, checking that mowers and other tools operate correctly.
• Identify potential workplace hazards and take corrective action to minimise risk.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 (or equivalent) qualification.
• At least 2 years of basic mechanical knowledge or previous workshop experience.
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work additional hours, weekends and public holidays as needed.
