Website Copywriter & Content Strategist

About the role

A marketing and website agency that helps mental health therapists grow their practices is looking for a Website Copywriter & Content Strategist. The role turns client goals, audience and strengths into clear, compelling website messaging. It is remote, full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional North American client meetings preferred in EST, and pays $1,400-$2,000 with a 3-month probation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client questionnaires, discovery calls and meeting transcripts to define messaging strategy, key differentiators, ideal clients, services and calls to action.
• Recommend website architecture and conversion-focused copy, communicating complex mental health topics with clarity and accuracy.
• Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to draft, edit and polish homepages, About pages, bios, service pages and FAQs, removing generic or repetitive language.
• Research keywords and search intent, write SEO titles and meta descriptions, and structure content with clear headings.
• Produce content wireframes and work with designers on layout and usability.
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, incorporate client feedback and take part in occasional client meetings.
• Explore new AI tools and build reusable prompts, templates and brand voice guidelines.

Required profile

• Native-level written English and a good grasp of North American English.
• Proven experience writing website copy and content strategy.
• Experience using AI for writing and content development, including advanced prompting.
• Ability to work independently, manage several projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Conversion-focused copywriting and practical SEO (keyword research, on-page optimisation).
• Editorial judgment and attention to detail.
• Tools used: Claude, ChatGPT, Google Workspace, ClickUp, Semrush, Zoom, Loom; WordPress and Elementor familiarity is beneficial.
