Web Designer & Developer – Conversion Focused

About the role

We are seeking a talented Web Designer/Developer to join our Marketing Department in Cape Town CBD. The role is centred on creating high‑impact, conversion‑driven landing pages and enhancing our digital presence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build conversion‑focused landing pages within a WordPress architecture.
• Run A/B tests, optimise CTAs and page structures, and analyse user behaviour for CRO.
• Maintain plugins, troubleshoot issues, improve security and ensure mobile responsiveness.
• Support technical SEO by implementing schema, improving site speed and maintaining an SEO‑aligned structure.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Growth, Content and SEO teams, providing performance insights and prioritising enhancements.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Web Development, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional website development experience.
• Proven ability to embed AI tools into daily workflow with measurable impact.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• WordPress (advanced training or certifications preferred).
• Python (Pandas, Requests).
• SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• JSON processing.
• Google Cloud Platform services (Cloud Run, Workflows, IAM, Secret Manager, Pub/Sub).
• BigQuery, dbt/Dataform, Dataplex.
• REST API integrations (OAuth2).
• CRO, A/B testing, UX design, technical SEO, schema implementation, site speed optimisation.
