Wealth Portfolio Associate

About the role

A wealth management firm in Cape Town is looking for a Wealth Portfolio Associate to drive portfolio growth within an established environment. The role combines investment management with direct client relationship development, operates on a hybrid basis and involves active engagement with Afrikaans-speaking clients and local travel to build long-term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor client investment portfolios in line with individual financial strategies and risk profiles.
• Engage with existing and prospective Afrikaans-speaking clients to expand the client base and build trusted relationships.
• Travel to meet clients at designated locations for consultations, portfolio reviews and relationship building.
• Drive portfolio expansion through structured prospective client outreach and networking.
• Continuously acquire industry knowledge and investment skills within a supportive professional framework.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in wealth management, investment management or portfolio administration.
• CFA charterholder, or actively studying towards the CFA designation.
• Full verbal and written fluency in Afrikaans to serve Afrikaans-speaking clients.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable personal transport for client travel.
• Strong commercial orientation with a commitment to learning and professional development.

• Existing network within the Western Cape private client market.
