About the role

The City of Roswell is seeking a Water Plant Operator I to operate, monitor, and maintain its water treatment facilities. This position ensures the delivery of safe, high‑quality drinking water to the community while complying with all regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate water treatment plant systems to ensure continuous production of safe drinking water.
• Monitor equipment performance and water quality parameters, adjusting processes as needed to meet federal, state and local regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot faults, and coordinate repairs on pumps, filters, and control systems.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation for operational activities and compliance audits.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in water treatment is preferred.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and follow safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality potable water.
