Warehouse Team Leader – Automotive Parts

About the role

The Cape Town branch of Global Parts is looking for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee its Epping facility. You will manage a team of warehouse staff, ensuring smooth daily operations from receiving to dispatch while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities, allocate workloads and monitor team productivity.
• Ensure accurate receiving, checking, binning of incoming stock and manage internal branch transfers, customer returns and stock movements.
• Oversee processing of warehouse documentation such as invoices, IBTs, RFCs and delivery paperwork.
• Conduct daily cycle counts, support regular stock takes and investigate any inventory variances.
• Maintain inventory records using Sage ERP and uphold 5S housekeeping standards.
• Enforce OHS policies, report equipment maintenance needs and promote a safe working environment.
• Handle internal and customer queries professionally and support the Branch Supervisor in achieving KPI targets.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification; a warehousing, logistics or supply‑chain qualification is a plus.
• 3–5 years of warehouse experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑leader role.
• Previous experience in the automotive parts sector is advantageous.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
