Warehouse Operator

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Warehouse Operator to manage the flow of materials and supplies within its Northern Cape facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that goods are received, stored, and shipped efficiently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage, and shipment of materials in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare and coordinate shipping and receiving schedules to control the flow of goods and optimise warehouse space.
• Maintain effective operating procedures, space utilisation, and the upkeep of facilities and equipment.
• Develop and refine warehouse processes using Lean methodology to improve team performance.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Computer literacy.
• Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field (advantageous).
• Experience in warehousing and inventory control within a mining environment.
• Valid driver’s licence.
