Warehouse Associate – Shipping & Receiving

About the role

As a Warehouse Associate at RXO you will ensure that freight moves efficiently through our Calgary hub. You will work closely with a seasoned management team to support shipping, receiving and inventory operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
• Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute orders to sales associates for processing.
• Read and interpret customer, work and shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed or shipped.
• Maintain a safe, accessible warehouse environment for employees and customers.
• Assemble products and participate in periodic inventory counts.
• Take check‑in calls from drivers, validate load data, and ensure loads are delivered on time for accounting purposes.
• Monitor daily pick‑ups and deliveries, confirming that loads arrive on schedule and in good condition.

Required profile

• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers and trucks.
• Ability to lift, push or pull at least 75 lb.
• Critical‑thinking ability to follow written, verbal or diagram instructions.

Required skills

• Handheld scanner operation.
• Computer literacy for basic data entry.
