Warehouse Assistant – Stock Handling & Forklift Operations

About the role
We are looking for an energetic Warehouse Assistant to join the Purchasing department of the Western Cape Blood Service. The role involves handling incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring efficient movement of goods, and keeping the warehouse organised. You will work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment supporting our supply chain operations.
Key responsibilities
- Offload deliveries and rotate stock using a forklift.
- Transport goods to and from the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Receive, pick, pack, and issue both stock and non‑stock items.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well‑ordered warehouse space.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock reconciliation as required.
Required profile
- Energetic and motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
- Excellent teamwork and cooperation skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a structured environment.
Required skills
- Forklift operation (certified or willing to be trained).
- Basic stock handling procedures.
