About the role

Join Protea Hotels by Marriott as a Waiter and become a Guest Service Expert who helps create memorable dining experiences for hotel guests. You will work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, delivering high‑quality food and beverage service while upholding the brand’s standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and clear tables, ensuring a clean and welcoming dining area.
• Communicate orders accurately with the kitchen and coordinate service flow.
• Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and respond to special requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, supplies, and service stations.
• Handle menu items, verify information visually, and assist guests with menu questions.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb unaided (50 lb with assistance), reaching overhead, and moving on varied surfaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than one year of related food‑and‑beverage experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Willingness to follow safety, quality, and uniform standards.
