About the role
An established veterinary hospital in eMalahleni, which cares for both wild and domesticated animals, is looking for an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Nurse. The role suits someone who enjoys a dynamic hospital environment and the variety of caring for different species, within a supportive and collaborative team.
Key responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in providing high-quality care to small animals
- Administer medications, vaccines and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures and imaging techniques
- Monitor patients during surgery and recovery
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Required profile
- A minimum of 2 years' veterinary nursing experience
- Diploma or Veterinary Nursing degree
- Genuine passion for animal health, welfare and patient care
- Confidence working in a busy hospital environment
- Professional, responsible and compassionate approach to patients and clients
