An established veterinary practice in eMalahleni is looking for a skilled and dedicated Animal Health Technician. The successful candidate will support the veterinary team, assist with patient care and help ensure animals receive professional, compassionate and high-quality treatment. Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with clinical examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Provide routine animal health assessments and patient monitoring.
• Administer treatments and medications within the scope of practice.
• Assist with sample collection, laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
• Advise and guide clients on animal health, preventative care and welfare.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Keep the clinical environment clean, hygienic and organised.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely.
• Support the veterinary team with daily clinical and operational requirements.

Required profile

• Animal Health Technician qualification.
• Current registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC).
• At least 2 years' experience in a private veterinary practice after qualification.
• Good clinical knowledge and practical technical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A compassionate, professional and responsible approach to animal care.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a veterinary team.
