Vendor Management Manager

About the role

Our global pharmaceutical client is seeking a Manager – Vendor Management to lead centralized vendor management across multiple business units and regions. The role ensures that suppliers of finished products, excipients and packaging meet GMP, quality and regulatory standards while driving qualification, audits and continuous compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead vendor qualification, approval, periodic review and ongoing compliance monitoring in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct supplier and CMO audits, manage audit findings and CAPA closure.
• Perform vendor and material risk assessments, impact analyses and compliance evaluations.
• Initiate, review and maintain Technical Quality Agreements, ensuring they remain current and audit‑ready.
• Maintain approved vendor lists and master data in SAP/Qinfo and related systems.
• Develop and harmonise vendor management SOPs and provide training on quality and GMP requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance, identify gaps and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry or related life sciences.
• 8–10 years’ experience in Quality Assurance or Vendor Management within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in vendor qualification, audits and GMP compliance.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and managing Technical Quality Agreements.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements of FDA, EMA, WHO and SAHPRA.
• Knowledge of SAP/Qinfo systems and vendor master data management.
