Van Assistant – Logistics Contractor

About the role
We are looking for a reliable Van Assistant to support our delivery operations in Durban‑Westville on a contract basis. You will work closely with the driver and the Operations team to ensure smooth, safe, and accurate deliveries.
Key responsibilities
- Load and unload goods from delivery vans, securing cargo to avoid damage.
- Verify delivery quantities against invoices, delivery notes or manifests.
- Accompany the driver on routes, assist with navigation and obtain customer signatures.
- Ensure products are delivered in good condition and handle returns or damaged items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle.
- Follow company safety procedures and report any issues, shortages or customer concerns.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 2–3 years experience in logistics, distribution or warehouse environments.
- Clean criminal record.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
