Unit Manager – High Care

About the role

Our client is seeking a capable Unit Manager to lead a High Care Unit and ensure excellent standards of clinical care and operational performance. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a patient‑centred approach to the role.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily High Care Unit operations.
• Lead and support the nursing team.
• Ensure effective patient care and clinical monitoring.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resources.
• Monitor quality and patient safety indicators.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current SANC registration.
• Relevant Critical Care qualification advantageous.
• Previous High Care or Critical Care experience.
• Unit management or supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
