Treasury Administrator

About the role

The Treasury Administrator will vet, validate and process outward domestic and cross‑border payments and redeem inward cross‑border payments. The role requires knowledge of SARB Balance of Payments reporting, online banking processing and query resolution while working collaboratively within a team.

Key responsibilities

• Execute foreign payments and receipts in compliance with SARB Balance of Payments (BOP) regulations.
• Process local and cross‑border payments via various online banking platforms.
• Collate and prepare data analytics on foreign currency movements and produce reports for banks under SARB legislation.
• Collate reporting via the Treasury Management System and prepare data for Exchange Control Approvals (ECA) and rulings.
• Execute interbank and inter‑account transfers for foreign currency to maintain adequate reserves and funding.
• Resolve queries from internal and external parties such as banks and SARB.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years’ experience in a banking back‑office processing environment.
• Understanding of SARB exchange‑control regulations and foreign payment processing.
• Diploma qualification.
• Behavioural competencies: ensures accountability, manages complexity, financial acumen, optimises work processes, plans and aligns, tech‑savvy.
