Travel Consultant - Garden Route Mall

About the role

Pentravel, a division of Cullinan Holdings, a leading leisure, travel and tourism company, is looking for a dynamic, customer-oriented Travel Consultant for its Garden Route Mall in Port Elizabeth. You will provide expert advice to travelers, design bespoke itineraries and book every part of their trips, while meeting sales targets and helping the business grow.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to secure repeat business and referrals
• Design and sell customised itineraries that fit each traveller's preferences, budget and needs
• Advise on destinations, including visas and travel insurance
• Maximise sales through upselling, cross-selling and promoting preferred partners
• Maintain accurate client records using the company's operational systems
• Handle customer complaints and queries professionally
• Stay up to date with industry trends

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a sales and target-driven role, preferably in the travel industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Passion for travel and knowledge of popular destinations
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays on a roster basis

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation systems such as Amadeus is advantageous
