Transport Debtors & Creditors Controller

About the role

The client, a well‑established logistics company in Brackenfell, is looking for a bilingual Finance Controller to manage debtors and creditors within their transport operations. The role requires strong accuracy, attention to detail and proven experience with the DATATIM Transport Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily transactions in DATATIM and handle purchase orders.
• Generate tax invoices and ensure delivery to clients via email or courier.
• Maintain and distribute proof‑of‑delivery (POD) documentation.
• Interact daily with clients and suppliers, resolve queries and follow up on outstanding documents.
• Perform general finance administration, including debtor and creditor reconciliations.
• Prepare and send client statements, allocate payments and conduct collection calls.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; further relevant qualifications are advantageous.
• 2‑3 years of experience in debtors/creditors within a logistics or transport environment.
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Own transport for field visits.

Required skills

• Proficiency with DATATIM Transport Management System.
• Experience using an accounting system similar to Pastel.
