Transport Coordinator – Durban

About the role

The Transport Coordinator will oversee vehicle loading and off‑loading activities at our Durban branch, ensuring timely turnaround and seamless communication with other operational hubs. This position is central to maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting day‑to‑day logistics planning.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle loading and off‑loading to meet turnaround targets.
• Maintain daily communication with Upington and Johannesburg operational teams.
• Manage loading schedules, vehicle allocations, and off‑loading facilities.
• Build and nurture relationships with customers, suppliers, and off‑loading sites.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Support management, drivers, and operations teams with routine requirements.
• Ensure efficient customer service and operational execution.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with up to 5 years’ experience in long‑distance transport.
• Relevant logistics qualification (advantageous).
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and working‑time legislation.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
