Training Officer – Core Systems (Pharmacist Assistant)

About the role

The Training Officer will support the implementation of the Core Systems Replacement project within Mediclinic’s pharmacy operations. The role ensures effective knowledge transfer, builds user competence, and creates learning material to support new systems and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse learning and development needs related to the new core systems.
• Design, develop and implement learning support material.
• Facilitate and assess learning processes for pharmacy staff.
• Provide ongoing system and process support during and after implementation.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Certificate in instructional design, training, pharmacy logistics, pharmacy support (Pharmacist’s Assistant or Pharmacy Technician) or healthcare supply chain.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a business processes environment within a hospital or healthcare setting, specifically as a Pharmacist Assistant.
• Background in developing training material and facilitating learning interventions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of relevant business process policies and procedures.
• Proficiency with computer systems and software packages, e.g., Microsoft Office.
• Ability to format and style learning support material.
