Training Manager – Nursing Education

About the role

The hospital group is seeking a senior Training Manager to lead nursing education at its Academy in Johannesburg North. You will be responsible for planning, directing and ensuring high‑quality training that complies with national regulations and the Academy’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DHET, CHE, SANC and SAQA requirements for nursing programmes.
• Drive accreditation of undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses.
• Develop and monitor quality‑assurance policies and procedures.
• Oversee student administration, theoretical and clinical study guides, and training manuals.
• Support clinical facilitators in creating manuals and assessment tools.
• Design and execute a marketing strategy aligned with the Group’s growth objectives.
• Identify and negotiate new clinical placement sites for students.
• Lead recruitment and staffing strategy for the Academy.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing Science (or equivalent) with an NQF‑level certification in Nursing Management.
• Master’s degree in nursing education is preferred.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Assessor and Moderator.
• Minimum 3 years management experience in a training or education institution.
• At least 5 years experience in nursing education and higher‑education management.
