Training Management Specialist

About the role

The Training Management Specialist identifies client training needs and drives the delivery of compliant learning solutions. You will manage the full lifecycle of training initiatives, from needs analysis through grant acquisition, implementation and reporting, ensuring alignment with SETA requirements and sector skills plans.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 100% client retention by delivering high‑quality training services and fostering strong relationships.
• Analyse training gaps, develop Workplace Skills Plans and submit required documentation to SETAs.
• Secure discretionary grant funding and manage training budgets for clients.
• Oversee the execution and record‑keeping of training programmes, ensuring compliance with legislative and sectoral standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and third‑party providers to create new business opportunities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with system functionalities, legislative changes and professional development requirements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of South African SETA regulations and grant processes.
• Experience in managing training projects, budgets and compliance documentation.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with a focus on relationship building.
• Ability to analyse training outcomes against sector skills plans and client objectives.
