Tracking Technician – Field Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Tracking Technician to join our team and support the installation, repair and maintenance of telematics devices across South Africa. You will work directly on vehicles, configuring and troubleshooting Ctrack units and other authorised products to ensure reliable tracking performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑ and post‑installation inspections in line with company standards.
• Install, repair and service Ctrack units and approved telematics equipment.
• Configure devices, run diagnostics and resolve on‑site technical issues.
• Complete required administrative tasks using company systems.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain accurate records of all work performed.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric (or equivalent) qualification.
• At least two years of experience in vehicle electronics, telematics or related field.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Autotronics or auto‑electrical training is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office – intermediate proficiency.
