TMM Section Engineer (Limpopo)

About the role

The TMM Section Engineer will ensure compliance with SHERQ and legal requirements while leading maintenance activities for mining assets in Limpopo. The role involves coordinating engineering projects, overseeing asset reliability, and supporting health and safety programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate execution of maintenance activities and produce monthly reports.
• Maintain asset availability and reliability, liaising with production teams.
• Ensure legal compliance, audits, and governance for all engineering work.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of TMMs, water and sewage treatment plants, housing, and other assets.
• Plan and execute engineering and construction projects, managing external contractors.
• Compile monthly engineering reports and develop SOPs and codes of practice.
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, enforce cost controls and monitor expenditures.
• Lead health and safety initiatives, ensure proper PPE usage and housekeeping.
• Set KPAs, monitor performance of sub‑ordinates, conduct performance reviews and enforce discipline.

Required profile

• Fitness Certificate.
• Understanding and application of health & safety principles.
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
