Theatre Storeperson – Hospital Pharmacy

About the role
The Theatre Storeperson assists in ordering, receiving, controlling, storage and movement of procurement stock items for the theatre pharmacy at Shifa Private Hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Theatre Stock Controller in preparing purchase orders and MRP, ensuring adherence to formulary and preferred suppliers.
- Conduct regular checks on consignment stockroom items, maintaining an orderly and clean stock organization per supplier.
- Code received stock according to control procedures and position items appropriately.
- Ensure FIFO rotation of stock and monitor expiry dates, communicating short‑dated items to relevant controllers and buyers.
- Receive deliveries, match them to orders and invoices, and follow up on back‑orders and outstanding orders.
- File invoices, delivery notes, orders, receipts and credit notes, and assist with cycle counts.
Required profile
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Previous experience working in a private hospital environment.
- Flexible working hours to support daily business needs.
Required skills
- Advanced computer literacy.
