Test Analyst

About the role

The Test Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring software quality across the full stack, from backend services to frontend applications, within an asset‑management environment. You will join a 150‑person IT department and bring 5‑7 years of testing experience to help deliver reliable, high‑quality releases.

Key responsibilities

• Own testing activities throughout the SDLC and promote best testing practices.
• Define testing approaches for each sprint and collaborate with Business Analysts to create clear, testable user stories.
• Work closely with developers to log, prioritize, and verify defects.
• Estimate testing effort, manage scope, risks, and timelines.
• Maintain test data, manual test packs, and contribute to both manual and automated in‑sprint tests.
• Create, debug, verify, and maintain automated test scripts; review merge requests and keep CI pipelines healthy.
• Report on test execution, risks, and issues; drive root‑cause analysis for production and in‑sprint defects.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line support for production issues when required.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down complex problems into clear test artifacts.
• Proven experience in API testing and understanding of microservice architecture.
• Ability to read and write SQL, test databases, reports, and applications.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and when automation adds value.
• Experience balancing manual and automated testing approaches.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and quickly learn new technologies.
