Telesales & Sales Administrator

About the role

Our client, a leading South African meat wholesaler, is seeking a motivated Telesales / Sales Administrator to support their sales team. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by engaging existing and prospective customers over the phone and ensuring smooth order processing.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers and prospects to generate sales and achieve targets.
• Accurately take, enter and process orders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer information in the database.
• Answer product and company queries, understand client needs and close sales.
• Coordinate with production, dispatch and the sales team to fulfil customer requests.
• Record call details and relevant information.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings and collaborate on problem‑solving.
• Handle telephone calls, take messages and keep the workstation tidy.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Proven experience in telesales or a similar customer‑facing sales role.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales quotas, preferably over the phone.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and performance‑driven.
