Telesales Clerk – Gauteng (Customer Service & Sales)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Telesales Clerk to join our Gauteng team. The role supports the sales function by generating quotations, signing up customers, handling administration and driving new business through cold‑calling and lead generation.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and record customer information, payment methods and purchase details.
• Stay up‑to‑date on product range and inform customers of new offerings.
• Answer product queries, meet sales quotas and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Develop and use a sales script, build rapport with prospects and maintain effective communication.
• Identify customer needs, present benefits, handle objections and close sales.
• Cold‑call leads, seek referrals and repeat business.
• Maintain accurate administration and organise daily activities.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or NQF 4 qualification; relevant further qualification is an advantage.
• 1–3 years experience in telesales, call‑centre or a similar environment.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Experience with SAP is advantageous.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong administrative, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP.
