About the role
The Municipality is seeking a Technician to lead investigations into water demand and loss across its network. The role focuses on testing zone meters, locating underground leaks and analysing water consumption patterns to support efficient water service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare procedural programs for testing zone meters and monitor bulk meter accuracy.
- Identify water‑loss survey areas, program data loggers on bulk meters and locate underground leaks.
- Conduct demand analysis and support water loss management initiatives.
- Ensure high‑priority investigations are completed within required timelines.
Required profile
- National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Three years of relevant experience, including at least one year in an engineering design office and two years in design, planning and water‑loss management within a consulting or municipal engineering department.
