Technician – Heavy Vehicle Repair & Maintenance

About the role
The Technician is responsible for delivering high‑quality repairs and maintenance on heavy vehicles, ensuring safety, customer satisfaction and on‑time delivery. The role combines technical expertise with a commercial mindset to support profitability and road safety.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare for maintenance or repair events by ensuring the correct information, tools and spare parts are available.
- Execute maintenance and repair tasks following established methods, standards and safety procedures, completing work on schedule.
- After completion, minimise invoicing lead time by clearly documenting work performed and communicating any follow‑up actions.
Required profile
- Matric certificate, N3 or equivalent.
- Qualified Diesel Technician with a Trade Test Certificate.
- Minimum three years of workshop experience repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles.
- Current employment in the present role for at least one year.
Required skills
- Diesel engine repair.
- Heavy‑vehicle maintenance.
- Use of diagnostic and workshop equipment.
- Application of safety, health and environmental procedures.
