Technical Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Team Leader to head our Cape Town technical team at Kibo Technical, an IT outsourcing and managed‑services provider. The role blends leadership of service delivery with deep technical work across Microsoft cloud services, infrastructure, networking and security.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, documentation, maintenance, security and support of client network environments.
• Manage Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune and Purview.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting across cloud platforms, infrastructure, networking and hardware.
• Mentor, develop and hold the Cape Town technical team accountable for performance and service quality.
• Develop and enforce technical standards, SOPs, governance and quality controls.
• Automate processes using ConnectWise, N‑able and related RMM platforms.
• Support sales with solution design and technical architecture.
• Act as senior escalation point, ensuring a security‑first approach and consistent client experience.

Required profile

• Senior engineer with proven leadership experience.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to develop people.
• Customer‑focused, quality‑driven and comfortable presenting to clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a KPI‑driven environment and meet defined performance objectives.
