Technical Project Manager

About the role

Solafficient Solutions is seeking a full‑time Technical Project Manager to lead energy‑focused projects from Durban. The role combines on‑site coordination with remote collaboration, allowing the manager to drive project delivery while balancing hybrid work.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver technical and energy‑related projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Define project scope, develop detailed project plans and track progress against timelines, budgets and quality criteria.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, facilitate meetings and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, and resolve issues that could impact objectives.
• Prepare status reports and present updates to senior management.
• Contribute to process improvements, support resource planning and refine project management practices.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills for interpreting technical data and supporting decision‑making.
• Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder engagement and documentation.
• Proven project and program management experience in a technical or engineering environment.
• Demonstrated team leadership and ability to foster collaborative work practices.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency, renewable energy or electrical projects is an advantage.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setting, balancing on‑site presence in Durban with remote collaboration.
