Technical Project Manager - eDiscovery

About the role

Morae Global is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead eDiscovery initiatives within its Discovery Team. Based in Cape Town, you will work hybrid (three days a week on‑site) to drive end‑to‑end eDiscovery workflows, engage directly with clients, and ensure high‑quality, timely delivery of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process improvement and operational efficiency across eDiscovery and Data Breach Review workflows.
• Design, develop and implement scalable automation tools for document review, quality control, data extraction, reporting and production.
• Collaborate with Review Management, Technology, Data and Project Management teams to define requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Evaluate and apply technologies such as AI, OCR, analytics, scripting and eDiscovery platforms to enhance accuracy and scalability.
• Create and maintain reusable processes, technical documentation, reporting frameworks and best‑practice guidelines.
• Act as the technical subject‑matter expert for the Discovery and DBR teams, guiding workflow optimisation and emerging technology adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong analytical and technical aptitude with a focus on workflow automation, data transformation and reporting.
• Experience in eDiscovery, legal technology, document review or a data‑driven environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify trends and strategic opportunities.
