Technical Mine Planning Consultant

About the role

RPMGlobal is seeking an experienced mine planning professional to join its African operations. The Technical Mine Planning Consultant will work with the global consulting team to implement RPM’s mine planning software for clients worldwide, providing training, support and consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Scope, configure and implement RPM mine planning software for client projects.
• Deliver training and ongoing support to existing customers.
• Provide general software consulting services and identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the business development team to promote RPM solutions.
• Contribute feedback for future product direction.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of operational mine planning experience.
• Formal engineering degree from a recognised university.
• Working knowledge of mine design, planning and scheduling techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills in complex business environments.
• Ability to travel globally on a regular basis and legal entitlement to work in Africa.

Required skills

• Proficiency with RPM mine planning software.
• Experience with mine design and scheduling tools.
• Familiarity with operational data systems such as fleet management and drill‑and‑blast data capture.
