Technical Integrator – Integration Specialist

About the role

The Technical Integrator will lead the design, delivery and hand‑over of complex system integrations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and non‑functional requirements. Working closely with customers, architects, development teams and vendors, the role guarantees seamless cut‑over and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Define, agree and sign‑off integration scope, dependencies and technical approach.
• Ensure solution design complies with security, scalability and performance standards.
• Identify, track and resolve delivery risks and issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate testing, cut‑over and go‑live activities to minimise disruption.
• Produce complete hand‑over documentation, runbooks and support models.
• Manage integration work‑stream planning, milestones, resources and schedules.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with project managers, architects, vendors and technical leads.
• Oversee quality assurance, test‑plan execution and defect resolution.
• Conduct impact assessments, change control and governance reporting.
• Facilitate training, enablement and knowledge transfer for operational teams.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in technical integration, system design or related IT projects.
• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Engineering, Information Sciences, Project Management or equivalent.
• Proven ability to manage complex integration work‑streams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with enterprise architecture standards and non‑functional requirements.
• Strong documentation skills, including integration specifications and runbooks.
