Technical Field Advisor – Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Field Advisor to join our team in Johannesburg. The role involves providing on‑site technical support, overseeing equipment installations and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with OEM and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Supervise installations, repairs, commissioning, and shutdown activities.
• Inspect equipment performance, diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation and service records.
• Train and mentor technicians, operators and site personnel.
• Liaise with customers, engineers, contractors and suppliers to coordinate work.
• Support reliability improvement initiatives and minimize equipment downtime.

Required profile

• Degree or relevant technical certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment support, maintenance or field service within the IT/IT‑Support sector.
• Strong understanding of OEM standards, safety and quality requirements.
• Proven ability to work independently on site and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
