About the role
A national technical services organisation is looking for a Technical Administrator to run the repair workshop administration in Cape Town. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will track every repair from booking in to delivery and keep the spares storeroom in order.
Key responsibilities
- Track workshop repairs and update customers on their progress
- Handle quotes from technician job cards, follow up purchase orders and manage invoicing
- Keep the spares storeroom in order, issue parts and carry out cycle counts
- Manage spares orders, branch stock transfers and supplier warranties
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) with strong English literacy and numeracy
- 1 to 2 years' customer service experience; workshop or spares exposure is a plus
- Own reliable transport
- Follows up before the customer has to ask and keeps several jobs moving without losing one
Required skills
- MS Word and Excel
- Syspro or another accounting system (advantageous)
- Job cards, quotations, stock control and SLA tracking
