Team Leader II – Facilities and Cash Device Management

About the role

Capitec is seeking an energetic Team Leader II to head a technical operations team focused on facilities and cash device management. The role combines leadership, tactical planning, and continuous improvement to ensure devices and related systems operate at peak performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and manage a technical operations team delivering device implementation, maintenance and optimisation.
• Coordinate device‑related initiatives, aligning them with business requirements, service level agreements and stakeholder expectations.
• Oversee compliance, procurement, inventory and vendor management processes.
• Analyse performance data, produce dashboards and KPI reports, and drive process improvements.
• Manage budgeting, cost control and resource allocation for device programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration.
• 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or team‑lead role within a technical or client‑service environment.
• Proven track record of leading technical or cross‑functional teams and delivering process improvements.
• Experience with device management, IT support or similar technical operations.
• Exposure to vendor/supplier management and contract oversight.

Required skills

• Knowledge of POS systems, mobile devices, IoT equipment and related ecosystems.
• Basic networking and system integration understanding.
• Data analysis, dashboard creation and KPI reporting.
• Budgeting, cost control and financial monitoring.
• Vendor and supplier coordination, procurement and inventory management.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and internal controls.
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
