Team Leader - Gaming & Betting Branch

About the role

Hollywoodbets is looking for X2 Team Leaders to join its Ermelo branch in Mpumalanga. The role supports the branch in achieving its business objectives in line with the Regional and Retail Operations strategy. It covers branch growth, cash administration, reporting, security, compliance, team management and guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Drive branch growth by meeting targets within branch budgets, educating guests about branch products, keeping betting boards and daily memos, card changes, results and scratchings up to date, and knowing game rules, odds and payouts.
• Take customer bets where applicable (required in express branches) and check confirmation limits with the BSC department before laying bets over the limit.
• Manage cash: follow defined processes to minimise risk, theft and fraud, train team members on FICA compliance, submit daily banking schedules, issue correct floats, perform interim checks, reconcile by end of shift and manage lost ticket claims.
• Manage branch reporting: daily newsflashes, stock control and weekly stock-taking, and notify the Branch Manager, Senior Team Leader and Cash Management Department of shortages.
• Handle security: stay alert when opening and closing, follow security factors during banking, know the location of panic buttons, keep cameras working and manage security aspects.
• Keep the branch neat and tidy, maintain equipment and comply with internal controls, gambling board requirements, the code of ethics and legal requirements, including having a registered FICA officer on site and a licensed manager on duty before each shift.
• Manage team rosters and schedules, recruit new team members, circulate operational communications and campaigns, and handle guest complaints proactively.

Required profile

• Advantageous: 6 months in the gaming or betting industry, a relevant diploma, degree or NQF 4 learnership, and a valid driver's licence.
• Advantageous: 1-2 years of leadership experience.
• Availability 24/7 in case of emergencies.
